Brushed Brass exhibits bright, warm tones, adding contemporary fl air to their polished brass finish.
Effortlessly paired with colourful palettes or comfortable as a statement piece, the fine brushed detailing and vibrant gold hues make this finish a must-have.
To create Brushed Brass, Iver take forged brass and lightly linish it on a polishing wheel. A clear satin lacquer is then added.
Care: Clean it regularly with a damp soft cloth and be sure to keep it dry.
Caution: Take care not to damage the lacquer layer. Satin lacquer is not as strong as gloss lacquer, so is more easily damaged. This finish is referred to as a sensitive finish. Brushed Brass is not suitable for coastal areas, as exposure to salt air can likely cause tarnishing.
Iver hardware is manufactured from solid brass, a material commonly used in architectural hardware. Brass does not rust, however it can change in appearance over time when exposed to outdoor environments, depending on the finish. Many Iver finishes include a lacquered, electroplated or powder-coated protective layer designed to slow this natural ageing process. The rate and nature of this change vary depending on the finish type, level of exposure and environmental conditions.
